Preventative Maintenance
Preventative Maintenance
Preventative Maintenance & Repair Specialists
Central Engineering offer a wide range of on-site and workshop services in the preventative maintenance, refurbishment and repair of all equipment that we provide. This includes repair of:
• Drives
• Motors
• Alternators
• Pumps
• Generators
THERMAL IMAGING
As part of a routine maintenance program we offer thermal imaging of both driven equipment and control panels. Identification of hotspots on machinery and electronic equipment such as drives or control equipment within a panel can point to impending equipment failure or inefficient running.
From the results of a site survey we would make recommendations on any equipment which may be showing signs of thermal stress or, in the case of VSD driven motors, where commissioning or a retrofit of a more modern, energy efficient type may be applicable. Other factors include restricted airflow in control panels where additional ventilation may be required, or filters changing.
We also supply a range of thermal imaging cameras.

BEST PRACTICE
The Central Group employs industry best practice in all of the repair and refurbishment work it carries out, whether in our own workshops or on a customer site. As an ISO 9001, 2008 approved company all Operating Procedures and any manufacturer specific guidelines are followed and audited.
Every workshop job is allocated a unique job number and all parts and replacement parts are bar coded for traceability, as is the labour element of any job. We have a job tracking system which is available to customers and is updated several times each day, as jobs move through the system.
We have control of the key processes involved in any rotating equipment repair to ensure the standard of work is at the highest level, and all motors and drives are tested prior to return to service from our workshops. Whilst we strive for a zero warranty rate we appreciate that things do go wrong, but we currently operate at 96%, and employ FMEA techniques as part of our continuous improvement process.
