HISTORY

Central Group began in 1972 as Central Electrical and has remained true to its values as a family-owned business. Now led by brothers Tim and Shaun Sutton since 2001, the company has grown steadily while maintaining its original vision.

A key part of Central’s success is its dedicated team—some employees have been with the company since its founding. This long-term loyalty speaks to a positive work culture that supports growth, development, and continuity across generations.

ATEX CERTIFICATION

Central Group is fully certified for the repair and overhaul of ATEX/EX motors up to and including 800 frame size, ensuring compliance with the highest safety and quality standards for equipment used in explosive atmospheres.

Our team includes multiple technicians who have successfully completed the AEMT’s EX Repair Training Course, covering the Repair, Overhaul and Reclamation of Equipment Used in Explosive Atmospheres. This training is conducted in accordance with BS EN and IEC 60079-19 IECEx Unit 005.
