ABB VALUE PROVIDER
As a founding member of ABB’s official Value Provider Program, we are fully trained, audited and authorised to represent selected ABB products and services. Our local expertise ensures efficient, consistent support across all we do.
DRIVE SERVICE AGREEMENTS
Central’s Drive Service agreements (DSA) provide a solution to unplanned drive stoppage. Central will support your drive assets, conducting annual servicing as well as additional benefits.
Having a DSA with Central will mean we can offer support to the highest level for any drive model and fleet resulting in minimised downtime for your assets and revenue lost.
As we’re one of ABB’s highest-level providers our drives engineers are specially trained to repair, support, service, maintain, supply, install and hire out ABB low voltage drives.
KEY BENEFITS OF OUR DRIVE SERVICE AGREEMENTS
REACT. REPAIR. RESOLVE. RENEW.
Our Drive Service Team is available 24/7, 365 days a year, with round-the-clock technical phone support and emergency response. We repair and service most drive and soft start brands, including obsolete models, in our fully equipped workshop or on-site.
If immediate repair isn’t possible, we offer a wide range of hire drives—up to 500kW—to keep you running. We also specify, supply, retrofit, and commission the latest drives, supported by our in-house stock covering a full range of general-purpose and industrial drives.
DRIVE SALES
We carry a large stock of new and legacy ABB Drives, offering rapid delivery and installation.
ABB GENERAL PURPOSE DRIVES
ABB’s general purpose drives boost performance, productivity, and safety. Easy to install and use, they offer quick motor control right out of the box. With simple settings and built-in macros, setup takes just a few clicks. Ideal for various industries, and for more demanding needs, the all-compatible ACS880 range is available.
DRIVE REPAIRS
We provide industrial variable speed drive (VSD) and variable frequency drive (VFD) repairs, supporting a wide range of drives across multiple industrial applications. As an ABB Value Provider, our engineers are certified to carry out ABB drive repairs, with access to genuine ABB OEM parts and spares.
Operating from our fully equipped electronic repair workshop in Knowsley, Merseyside, we support customers across the UK with both workshop repairs and on‑site services – we repair ABB drives as well as other leading manufacturers with 24/7 emergency support available.

HIRE DRIVES
Hiring a drive is a fast, cost-effective way to keep critical processes running during a drive failure, helping reduce downtime while allowing time for repairs.
Customers typically hire drives either to replace a faulty unit or to trial an ABB drive and assess potential energy savings. At Central, we offer a wide range of ABB drives from 0–500kW, including legacy models like the ACS600, to suit existing setups with minimal disruption.
Drives can be supplied pre-installed in a panel for quick deployment or as standalone units for tighter spaces or custom installations.

DART offers a low-cost, cloud-based, remote drive condition monitoring and ambient surrounding monitoring solution. Simply plug and play with the DART system and have the capacity to monitor up to 16 inverter drives and measure up to 25 variables with a single DART unit.
Variables:
1. Motor speed, torque, current
2. Output power
3. Inverter temperature
4. Humidity
5. Hydrogen Sulphide H2S
Benefits of a proactive drive maintenance strategy include a stress-free environment, reduced asset downtime through failure prediction, and more effective management of drives – ultimately extending their operational lifespan.
