THE FUTURE
OF MAINTENANCE

Uptime / Digital Maintenance

UpTime isn’t just a service.
It’s a way of thinking.

The world of manufacturing and supply has changed massively, the “just-in-time delivery system” has quickly become the chosen method of operation for many manufacturing and supply chain business.

In order for the “just-in-time delivery system” to work, your assets need to be working at peak operational capacity with no down time. Unfortunately, unexpected failures of assets can’t be predicted… or can they?

All failures have warning signs and Central has the IOT monitoring software you need to predict a failure occurring up to 3 months in advance. Our sensors monitor vibration, heat and current as standard to ensure you have eyes on the current health of your assets, our wider range of sensors can monitor unusual or bespoke processes.

How UpTime Works

Central Group are delighted to present the Uptime service, a specialised solution meticulously designed to optimise the operational uptime of your industrial machinery. Our comprehensive offering encompasses advanced monitoring, maintenance, and repair services, ensuring continuous and uninterrupted performance.

The Uptime service begins by installing cutting-edge IoT sensors seamlessly integrated into an on-premise edge device.

This powerful combination enables real-time detection of potential issues and deviations from normal working conditions. Leveraging individually trained machine learning models, our system accurately identifies and flags problems across a wide range of equipment, including pumps, motors, gearboxes, conveyors, alternators, and drives.

As an integral component of our service, we proudly offer the IQunet Server—an innovative and compact single board computer.

The IQunet Server serves as the central computing and data storage device for your monitoring system. Powered by state-of-the-art software, it provides direct or internet access to our web-based wireless sensor device manager software. In addition, the embedded OPC UA server within the IQunet Server ensures seamless data exchange with your SCADA systems or OPC historians, ensuring comprehensive data backup and accessibility. Importantly, our solution adheres to an on-premise approach, safeguarding your data security and eliminating reliance on external cloud services. Furthermore, the IQunet Server seamlessly facilitates the export of data to Google Sheets or Excel, enabling effortless integration with your preferred analysis tools.

To monitor the health of your rotating equipment, we utilise the IQunet Vibration Monitoring Sensor.

This compact device communicates wirelessly, and comes both battery powered and wired via a 24V feed. They precisely capture three axel vibration and temperature data, this sensor provides valuable insights into the condition of your assets. It effortlessly integrates into your machinery, and with remote configuration options, you have complete control over parameters such as sampling rate and measurement intervals.

Our Uptime service also encompasses the use of Current Clamps, enabling meticulous monitoring of current consumption on power equipment.

With multiple versions available to accommodate varying current levels. They are seamlessly integrated into our comprehensive monitoring system, these sensors provide additional information on the health and performance of your critical assets.

Beyond monitoring and maintenance, Central Group offers a suite of services designed to ensure the continuity of your business operations.

    The UpTime Process

The first step in delivering the Uptime solution is to engage in a detailed consultation to understand the specific requirements of your industry. Through a comprehensive discussion, we gather information about the nature of your operations, whether it involves fans, motors, or other rotating machinery. This initial conversation allows us to gain insights into your unique challenges and tailor our solution to meet your specific needs.

Following the consultation, we proceed to plan an onsite survey. This crucial phase involves a visit to your facility, where our team of experts conducts a comprehensive assessment of your assets. During the survey, we meticulously evaluate the equipment, considering various factors such as distances, criticality, and operational schedules. This in-depth analysis enables us to identify the most crucial assets that require close monitoring for optimal performance.

As part of the onsite survey, we also assess the ideal location for the IQunet Server. This strategic placement ensures maximum coverage and range for the vibration sensors. Our team carefully considers factors such as signal strength, accessibility, and proximity to the monitored assets. By finding the optimal position for the server, we guarantee reliable data collection and effective monitoring of your machinery.

Once the onsite survey is complete, we proceed with the implementation of the Uptime solution. Our skilled technicians install the IoT sensors, connect the edge device, and deploy the IQunet Server. The sensors are seamlessly integrated into your machinery, and the edge device acts as a centralised hub for data collection and analysis. The IQunet Server serves as the central computing and data storage device, securely housing all the vital information related to your assets’ health and performance.

During the implementation phase, our team ensures a smooth integration of the Uptime solution with your existing infrastructure. We provide comprehensive training to your engineers and managers, enabling them to navigate the user-friendly dashboard, interpret data visualisations, and utilise the system effectively. Throughout the process, our experts remain readily available to address any questions or concerns that may arise. By understanding your maintenance schedule and operational patterns, we can configure the system to align with your specific needs. This includes scheduling the training and deployment of the machine learning models, which typically take between 2-4 weeks to train.
